About This Site - Legal Info And Other More Interesting Stuff
I set up this site in reponse to a collision of several of my personal passions and recent events in my life.
Loosely, these events are as follows:
1. A passion for enjoying and collecting cheesy movies.
2. A wish to archive some analogue source material for the digital age.
3. Investing in and learning about analogue capture.
4. The creative desire to create websites and write about stuff.
5. Enjoying movies thanks to the emergence of the DVD.
I've always been a bit of a film fan and VHS hoarder (now a DVD hoarder). I also hate seeing things disappear. I'm well into my DVDs, but noticed a sizeable collection of the films I have have no Digital release or look likely to get one soon.
Because I'm one of those annoyingly anally retentive people that likes to ensure the stuff he loves perpetuates - I invested a lot of time and money into making my PC a capture and DVD authoring machine - intially as a little side venture - converting people's home movies to DVD. It makes a nice little side earner. In the down time I use the equipment to work my way through my old VHS before they disintegrate with age.
All these digital back-ups are owned solely by myself and in no way, shape or form available for sale or trade. Please don't waste your time contacting me to ask for a digital copy, as it will be deleted and ignored. All information on this site is merely made available for educational and non-profit purposes.
As such, I reproducing screen grabs and info on my film collection under fair use practices. There is some information on fair use of copyrighted material here.
